A close call

Meaning: 1- An occasion when something you do not want to happen nearly happens. 2- a situation in which someone only just manages to avoid an accident or disaster

Anlamı: 1-beklenmedik bir şeyin olması, ucu ucuna vuku bulması, meydana gelmesi. 2- Kıl payı kurtulma; paçayı zor kurtarma. 3- Kıl payı farkla sonuçlanan

Examples:

A red would have been harsh, though it must have been a close call.
